There is also a section on help and advice for if you're thinking about publishing. This section is quite small at the moment, but it is growing all the time. I hope to include marketing ideas and tips in this section. I am trying to add at least one article a week, but some weeks will be better than others. So if you're a budding author, or just fancy seeing how to get published, then feel free to have a nose around the articles. There's some useful advice in there, honest. Latest Updates to the Website 25th June 2009 Been a fair while since I published an update. I've had a very busy trying to market my book. I have removed the FORUM as nobody seemed to be using it, apart from spammers. 18th May 2009 Been a while since I published an update. I've been very busy trying to market my book. I have successfully had some media coverage in the loca, and regional papers and radio. I also managed to get an article in a national magazine last week. You can read the articles, and listen to the interview and the My Reviews menu link. I have also updated the preview for the book. You can now go to Freado, which shows the preview in colour, unlike the book. This can be found by clicking on the Previewthe Book menu item. 5th March 2009 Added a completely new section on the site. This is for self published authors to get a review of their book. I will also be linking back to their own site. This section can be found under the Other Books Reviewed link on the menu. 3rd March 2009 Recieved another review for the book today, a cut down version can be found under the review page the complete review can be found by going to Kay's Site. Added a news feed. This shows any news related to Self-Publishing from around the world. 28th February 2009 Had a few problems with the PayPal button, but it should now be fixed. Don't you just hate Notepad, you miss one little quote mark and it all goes to hell in a bucket. 26th February 2009 I've added a new article on marketing. This one looks at in some detail what should go into your marketing plan. I've put a few examples from my own plan in to help you. I've also discovered a superb company where you can get a lot of marketing merchandise at really good prices, if not completely free. Check it out HERE. 23rd February 2009 Added a new page, checkout the Kopek Mechandise. Get your self a Kopek t-shirt with your own message on it, or a mousemat. 12th February 2009 Added a Blog today. It's a little light hearted look at life in general. Be warned there will be strong language in this. I've also added a Message Board. Please feel free to add comments about the site, or make requests for help and advice on there. 10th February 2009 Another article finished today. This one looks at Press Kits, or Media Kits as they are sometimes known. Here we look at what is one, and what goes in it. 8th February 2009 Two more articles published this weekend. The first looks at options for Print on Demand (POD) publishing, and the second is all about words. The average number on a page, or in a book. 4th February 2009 Launch of the website. All section should be available. Also put the first 2 articles on the Publishing Advice page.
1st February 2009 Started building the site. Designed templates, and finalised page layout. I've decided on One.com to host the site, as they have a 1 year free trial on at the moment, and you can't get cheaper than that. All in, with the domain, and a years hosting it costs £10.35 including VAT.
